Biography

John Taylor was AAU and IC4A champion in the 1922 220y low hurdles. He competed for Princeton, class of 1923, and the NYAC. Taylor made the final of the 400 metres at the 1924 Paris Olympics, finishing fifth. After college Taylor started working for oil companies, but in 1926 became the Canadian representative for the Ethyl Corporation. By 1937 he had risen to become vice-president of that company.

Personal Best: 400 – 48.1 (1924).
