From Edina High School in Minnesota, Jenny Schmidgall-Potter played college hockey for three years for the University of Minnesota in Duluth, and playing one year at the University of Minnesota, and was a four-time All-American. She has been on the US Women’s team since 1997, competing at three Winter Olympics, and at seven World Championships, winning gold medals in 2005, 2008, and 2009, and four silver medals in 1999, 2001, 2004, and 2007. She plays for the Minnesota Whitecaps of the Women’s Western Hockey League, and was named league MVP for the 2008-09 season. With her husband, Rob, she runs a summer training camp called “Potter’s Pure Hockey.” She is still on the US National Team in 2009, and is looking to compete in her fourth Olympic Games in 2010.
