Biography

Jane Gylling was Sweden's fastest female freestyle swimmer shortly after World War I. She won the national 100 metre freestyle title in 1918-19, succeeding Emmy Machnow. Gylling was active from 1914-24. She was also one of the founders of Göteborg’s Najaden Swimming Club. After her active career Gylling worked as swimming instructor.
