Biography
James Robert Jr. WALLINGTON
As an amateur boxer, Jim Wallington took the brilliant record of 76 and two to the Mexico City Olympics. His record in the three years before the Olympics was amazing. He had won three National AAU titles (1966-1968), three Inter-Service championships (1966-1968), three Golden Gloves titles (1966-1968) and the 1967 Pan American Games gold medal. At the Olympics, however, he lost in the semi-finals to Enrique Regueiferos of Cuba by a decision.
