In addition to Steen’s two silver medals at the Olympics, she played in the 1994 European Championship in Germany, winning the bronze medal. Steen played back and scored 584 goals in 160 appearances for Norway. She played for Sverresborg, winning the national championship (cup) in 1983 and 1984 and the national league in 1986. She later played for Vestar, winning the league in 1989. She also played for Astor, Byåsen, Bækkelaget, Refstad-Veitvet, Stabæk and Trøgstad, where she also was the trainer.
