Biography
Hermann WILKER
Hermann Wilker was a German rower who competed in the 1900 Summer Olympics. He was a rower in the German boat from Ludwigshafener Ruderverein, which won a bronze medal in the coxed fours final B. At the 1912 Stockholm Summer Olympics Wilker was a member of the gold medal boat coxed fours, outriggers, again with the Ludwigshafener Ruderverein.
Wilker published a textbook Das Rudern (Rowing). Together with Otto Fickeisen he rowed in a coxless pair that was unbeaten in 26 races over five years, winning the German Championships from 1908-12. Wilker was later a longtime board member of the Ludwigshafener RV. He participated again at the 1936 Berlin Summer Olympics as a rowing referee.
