Biography

Heinz Schulz was an East Berlin based boxer winning the bronze medal at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics as a featherweight. He also tried to qualify for the 1956 and 1960 Olympic Games, but was unable to do so. In 1961 Schulz won a bronze medal at the European Championships. He was East German champion as a bantamweight in 1957, 1959 and 1962, and as a featherweight in 1960. Schulz later became a boxing coach.
