Biography

A 6-8 (2.03) power forward, George Wilson was the star of the Cincinnati team after Oscar Robertson left. He received All-America mention in both his junior and senior years, and after graduating in 1964, he was drafted in the first round by the Cincinnati Royals, where he again joined Robertson. Wilson played seven years as a pro, with fair success. He was never a great scorer, but played tough defense and rebounded well. He played for the Royals for three years, then hopped around the league with five other teams before ending his career in 1971 in Buffalo.
