Tiger Shaw was primarily a technical skier, skiing on the World Cup circuit from 1983 through 1990, with eight top 10s, seven in the slalom and one in combined. Shaw graduated from Dartmouth in 1985. He then joined the automotive industry in retail management, before founding DealerWire, an inventory management system and trading network to help car dealers manage their inventories, also serving as its COO. The company was acquired in February 2006 by DealerTrack, a provider of software and data solutions for the automotive retail industry in the United States. Shaw worked with DealerTrack and was instrumental in helping with the merger of the two companies. In 2006 Shaw moved to Global Rescue LLC where he was responsible for business development and new marketing strategy. In August 2013, Shaw was named to be the new COO of US Ski and Snowboarding Association (USSA) with plans for him to become the CEO in early 2014, succeeding Bill Marolt.
