As a speed skater, Fritz Moser competed in the 1928 World Championships in Davos, just days before the 1928 Olympic Winter Games placing 16th. At European Championships, he achieved two top-10 finishes - in 1929 (8th) and 1932 (6th). At home he was 3rd in 1928 and 1931. In 1931, he also set his only Austrian Record, in the 1500 m. In 1936, Moser and Hermann Kubik won the Austrian Championships in the double sculls, which brought them to the 1936 Olympics in Berlin.
Personal Bests: 500 – 45.8 (1931); 1500 – 2:23.0 (1931); 5000 – 8:48.7 (1931); 10000 – 18:41.4 (1929).
