Frank PASCHEK

Frank Paschek earned the long jump silver medal at the 1980 Moskva Olympics. One year earlier he burst into the World’s top long jumpers beating Carl Lewis at an international meeting in Moskva. In 1978 and 1980 he was East German Champion, also winning indoors in 1981.

Many documents on doping in the former GDR became public after reunification, and Paschek’s name was found in the list of doped athletes. He retired in 1982 and started a coaching career with his home club TSC Berlin.
