Frank Krick represented the Philadelphia Canoe Club and competed for the US at two Olympics (1952-56) in canoeing. In 1956, Krick was 46-years old at the Melbourne Olympics, although he was younger than his partner, John Haas, who was 47. Krick and Haas made a formidable doubles pair in Canadian canoeing, winning US titles in C-2 in 1946-47, 1949, 1954, and 1956. Krick also won in 1938-40 and 1959 with different partners, and added US C-4 titles in 1954-56. Krick served in the US Army during World War II. He was known as a distance canoeist, and once paddled 87 miles in 11½ hours.
