Biography

Felix Kaspar won a bronze medal at the 1936 and was considered an early favorite for the men’s figure skating gold medal in 1940. Kaspar was on tour in Australia when Germany invaded Austria, putting an end to his hopes. After the war he settled in California where he became a figure skating coach. He was inducted into the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 1998.

Kaspar had the following placements at major international championships - Men: 1936 World Championships (3rd); 1937 World Championships (1st); 1938 World Championships (1st); 1934 European Championships (7th); 1935 European Championships (2nd); 1936 European Championships (4th); 1937 European Championships (1st); 1938 European Championships (1st).
