Biography

Sprinter Erika Pollmann participated in the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games for the mixed German team. She was disqualified in the 100 heats, eliminated in her 200 heat, but reached the final with the sprint relay, coming in fifth. She also started in the European Cups in 1965 and 1967. At the European Indoors she had her greatest moment winning the gold medal with the relay in 1966 and 1968, adding a 50 m individual silver in 1968. Nationally she won West German titles in the 100 (1965), 200 (1964-65), and 60 m indoors (1967). By profession Pollmann worked as a bookkeeper.

Personal Bests: 100 – 11.5 (1964); 200 – 23.9 (1964).
