Biography

Erika Heinicke from Berliner TSC started at the 1964 Innsbruck Winter Olympics. She finished 23rd in the 1,000 m speed skating event, and was 28th in both the 1,500 and 3,000 metres. In 1963, she claimed her only East German national title over 3,000 metres. She was the sister-in-law of field hockey player Klaus Bahner after his marriage to her sister Edith.

Personal Bests: 500 – 49.4 (1966); 1000 – 1:40.5 (1965); 1500 – 2:32.9 (1966); 3000 – 5:28.7 (1966).
