Bhrane, originally from Eritrea, had a passion for running and sports since childhood. As a refugee from a young age, he faced a challenging journey through Sudan, Libya, Italy, and Germany before settling in Belfast. It was in Germany that Bhrane began taking running more seriously, quickly becoming an active member of the running community and participating in competitions.
Since moving to Belfast, Bhrane has been fully committed to the local athletics scene. Currently, he trains four times a week with his coach, Mark Kirk, and has achieved notable successes, including podium finishes at the Northern Irish and Ulster senior championships. Despite facing many obstacles, Bhrane says the dream of competing in the Olympics is what keeps him running.
