Ashleigh Johnson was the first African American woman to represent the USA water polo team and helped them win gold at Rio 2016. The 26-year-old goalkeeper hopes to increase diversity in the sport and inspire young children who see themselves in her: "I have the power to do that just being here," Johnson said in an exclusive interview. "It took me a long time to get there, but I realised that there's no reason not to own it, and it enriches me, it helps young me, and it's just what I can do."
