The Spanish Trap shooter is an Olympic gold medallist and three-time world champion and is trying to qualify for his fifth Olympic Games: "I have been twice the first Spaniard to qualify for the Olympics and that gives you an immense tranquillity." Along with teammate Fatima Galvez, they won the first ever title in the mixed trap event at the Tokyo 2020 Games in 2021: "It was like touching the sky," he told us. The 2022 edition of the European Championship in Shotgun is set to begin on 25 August, with nothing short of Olympic qualification on the line. Eight quota places will be awarded during the championships, with two each available for men’s trap, women’s trap, men’s skeet and women’s skeet.
