Oszkár Demján swam two breaststroke events at the 1912 Olympics, but failed to make either final. He swam for the Magyar Atlétikai Club in Budapest. In World War I Demján joined the Nr. 32 Infantry Regiment and was wounded early during the fighting. He survived that but was later killed in Sianky in the present day Ukraine, near Lviv.
