Biografie

Izaac Stubblety-Cook may have been born in 1999, but he has already achieved every accolade possible in his favoured 200m breaststroke.

The Queenslander won 200m breaststroke Olympic gold at Tokyo 2020 with a new Olympic record of 2:06:38.

He then established himself as the greatest of all time in the event when he set a new world record of 2:05.95 at the 2022 Australian Swimming Championships.

Stubblety-Cook swam a whole second slower than that time in the 2022 World Championships final, but still won the title by 1.31 seconds.

The Australian usually enters the 100m breaststroke at major events too, and set a PB of 59.51 to qualify for the world champs final where he placed seventh.
