Biografie

Arisa Trew secured her place in Australia’s rich Olympic history by becoming the country's youngest gold medallist. At just 14 years, two months, and 26 days old, she clinched the women’s park skateboarding title at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Arisa is also the first Australian woman to claim a skateboarding medal at the Olympics.

Born on May 12, 2010, in Cairns, Australia, Arisa Trew took up skateboarding at the age of eight as an alternative to surfing, particularly during the colder winter months.

While skateboarding started as a fun activity for the young Australian, she made a friend who motivated her to work on her tricks.

With support from her parents and coach Trevor Ward, Arisa’s skateboarding journey gained momentum. She completed her high school education at the Gold Coast-based Level Up Australia Academy, an institution offering elite coaching alongside homeschooling.

The Queenslander came into the spotlight in June 2023 after becoming the first woman to successfully execute a 720 trick, which involves two full rotations mid-air, at Tony Hawk’s Vert Alert in Salt Lake City, USA. The feat, performed in front of her skateboarding hero Tony Hawk, marked her arrival on the global stage.
