The International Olympic Committee (IOC) will hold a number of meetings in Rio prior to and during the Olympic Games Rio 2016 that will take place from 5 to 21 August:
IOC Executive Board (EB) meeting: 30 and 31 July 2016 at the IOC official hotel Windsor Marapendi.
129th IOC Session: 2-4 and 21 August 2016 at the Convention Centre Windsor Oceanico.
MEDIA OPPORTUNITIES
A number of media opportunities will be organised during these meetings, but as a general rule please note that the EB meeting will be closed to the media and proceedings of the IOC Session will be available via close-circuit TV at the Convention Centre Windsor Oceanico as well as at the MPC.

MEDIA ACCESS
Media access to the Windsor Marapendi hotel is very limited. However, day passes will be available during the IOC meetings and the Olympic Games to allow the media to conduct pre-booked interviews. These passes will be delivered subject to a formal request to the IOC Media Relations Team at least 24 hours in advance.
Media who require a day pass to access the Windsor Marapendi should send an email to: pressoffice@olympic.org and must include the following information:
• Journalist’s full name and name of media organisation
• Date and time of the interview as well as name of the interviewee(s)
• Rio 2016 accreditation details including accreditation number(s)
Please note that a media day pass will give you access to the lobby of the hotel ONLY, and NOT to the meeting rooms or at the Convention Centre Windsor Oceanico.
Kindly be aware that there will be no media working area at the Windsor Marapendi and that the media are encouraged to work at the MPC.
