Why I am running in the IOC Athletes’ Commission election
Considering my absolute conviction about the paramount role of sport, of its power of changing lives and rewriting histories, I want to keep dedicating my life to the Olympic Movement. If I have the honor to become an IOC Athletes’ Commission member and an IOC Member, I will have the necessary tools to contribute to the building of a better world.
Athletes are the core of the Olympic Movement. Their voices need to be heard, since they know exactly what must be preserved, changed, avoided and improved. Athletes know better than anyone else the Olympic universe. As a member of the IOC AC, I would work hard to guarantee that Athletes’ voices would keep their representativity and active participation in the Olympic Movement. As an IOC Member, I would bring the lessons learnt throughout my career to the highest sports governing body, in favour of Athletes and of all the principles that certainly make the difference in society: discipline, determination, strength and respect.
Commitment, willingness and passion for Sport would be the greatest components of my job at the IOC.
