Why I am running in the IOC Athletes’ Commission election
Sport is not a job for me and not even hobby, it is my life. I went through many difficulties for each of my victories and continue to move forward honestly.
During my long sports career many times I was faced with decisions which I did not agree with, as did my fellow athletes. Thus I realized that it’s very important for sportsmen to express their point of view, because we, athletes, are at the heart of the Olympic Movement. At that moment I set myself the goal of doing my best so that the opinions of athletes could be heard.
Sport has given me a lot, and today, I want to share my experience and support athletes! I’m sure my experience as an athlete, coach and FIG WAG Athletes’ Representative will help to reach this goal.
I want to contribute to the development of clean and fair sport.
