Why I am running in the IOC Athletes’ Commission election
As an elite Athlete and throughout my term as a member of the IAAF Athletes Commission (2015-2019), I have gone through ups and downs, and discovered that success can only be achieved by committing yourself fully to the task ahead and only then, the desired result could be achieved.
Educating young athletes and elite ones alike on matters related to sport, culture, anti-doping and similar topics would assist in building a more complete sportsperson. Supporting the underprivileged athletes would ensure inclusion of all and provide a sense of equality across all society levels. My commitment, if elected, is to play an active role on this front.
If elected to the IOC Athletes’ Commission, I would work hard to share the lessons of my experience as an elite athlete. I would also commit to promote fair sport practice from grassroots to elite levels and protect clean athletes across all sports and to be a voice for the quiet, unheard and underprivileged athletes within the Olympic Movement.
