Why I am running in the IOC Athletes’ Commission election
After a long career I would like to be involved in and serve the needs of the Olympic Movement. Having the experience I will help enforce the bridge between the Athletes and the IOC to make the Olympic experience better for everyone and help grow the Olympic Movement.
My key points I intend to focus on are:
- Fair Play. I will educate parents, coaches and athletes about the detrimental consequences when Fair Play is not considered a must! And protect those that remain clean and fair.
- Misrepresentation of athletes. Knowing the needs of an Athlete, I will help boost the efforts in representing every athlete so that one’s voice and/or point of view is heard and considered in the Olympic Movement decision-making processes.
- Career transition process. I will use my experience as a business owner to encourage others to be open to opportunities that life after sport brings.
- Tennis at Olympics. The complexity of the tennis issue needs to be addressed and made more fundamentally sound.
I will serve my term with the highest degree of honor and respect to every athlete and the Olympic Charter.
