IT WOULD BE A PRIVILEDGE TO REPRESENT THE VOICE OF THE ATHLETES

FRIDA HANSDOTTER

Why I am running in the IOC Athletes’ Commission election

My belief is that a creative mind can accomplish anything and, combined with input from a result-oriented personality and good teamwork, a great result can be achieved. This belief and mindset proved to be successful in my years as a professional skier.

During this time in my career, I had the privilege to travel around the world, meet a lot of people and perform in tough conditions. Now I want to bring this experience into the IOC Athletes’ Commission. I love how the Olympic Movement brings athletes from all over the world together, and it would be a privilege to be a member of the IOC Athletes’ Commission and to represent the athletes’ voice.

I am grateful for what I learned from my sport – that nothing is impossible, strong commitment, discipline and hard work to achieve my goals. And the most important thing: JOY!

The Olympic Games are the dream of all athletes. I had the honor to participate in three Olympics and my dream of winning an Olympic gold medal came true at PyeongChang 2018.

I want to be part of ensuring fair play and creating possibilities for athletes today and tomorrow!
