The 23rd edition of the Olympic Winter Games took place in PyeongChang, Republic of Korea in February 2018, with this being the second time the country hosted an edition of the Games, following the Olympic Summer Games Seoul 1988.

The legacy of the Olympic Games now continues strongly in PyeongChang, with Olympic venues playing host to the next generation of athletes. Complementing that legacy, the next edition of the Winter Youth Olympic Games will be hosted in Gangwon, Republic of Korea, in 2024.

History was made in the women’s ice hockey tournament, as a unified Korea team was fielded with players from both the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and the Republic of Korea for the first time.

PyeongChang 2018 will forever be remembered for sporting excellence and for the efficiency mixed with kindness.
