The Athlete365 Career+ Power Up workshops are an updated, online version of the Athlete365 Outreach workshops, held in small groups for a more interactive experience.
More than 150 athletes, entourage members, and sports managers have taken part in the three Athlete365 Career+ Power Up workshops held so far, delivered in English and Spanish.
The next workshops will be in French, Russian, Portuguese, and Arabic, and the registrations are already open here.
The latest Athlete365 Career+ Power Up workshops were held on 17-20 August and delivered in Spanish. Taekwondo Olympians and Athlete365 Career+ Educators Gabriel Sagastume OLY (Guatemala) and Ricardo del Real OLY (Mexico) co-led the four 90-minute sessions, which saw attendees from Mexico to Chile actively participate in the discussions by sharing their own experiences, insights, and stories.
Among a number of key learnings from the workshop, the participants were introduced to the useful “Me Map” tool, where you bring together a number of keywords about yourself to help you find purpose and direction in your post-sport career.
Feedback was collected after the workshop and was extremely positive, with 100 per cent of respondents agreeing that it “was very valuable for their lives and made a big impact on their approach to career transition”, and recommending other athletes to attend the next ones.
IT HELPED ME EXPLORE MY STRENGTHS IN OTHER ASPECTS OF MY LIFE APART FROM MY SPORT.
ELITE ATHLETE FROM EL SALVADOR
“It helped me explore my strengths in other aspects of my life apart from my sport,” said one elite athlete from El Salvador, while the workshop was well-attended by entourage members too. One such participant from Brazil commented: “The content and the material is customised to athletes and entourage, and provided in a simple language.”
How can I get involved?
The Athlete365 Career+ Power Up workshops are available to all athletes. The global workshops are now available in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Russian and Arabic, allowing a large number of athletes to take part.
