why i’m running for the ioc athletes committee

as an athlete, i had the privilege of participating in three olympic games and winning seven medals, five of which were gold. i discovered the power of sport and saw how much stronger the olympic movement was when it was supported by athletes.

over the past ten years, i have come to see many of you, out of curiosity and interest in your specialties, but above all to talk to you.

based on this experience, i am running for election to the ioc athletes committee, so that not only our voice is heard, but also taken into account.

i am committed to representing athletes as president of the paris 2024 olympic athletes committee and the iaaf athletes committee to promote and defend sport as i have always practiced: fair sport, which gives everyone a chance and takes into account environmental issues that are critical to the future of our winter sports.

if you trust me, i will continue to work with you to be a catalyst for the change we hope to see.

enjoy all the olympics and look forward to continuing to communicate with you!
