السيرة الذاتية

Svea Norén’s career spanned a period of 14 years. Her first success was second place at the 1910 Swedish Championships. In total, she was a four-time Swedish Champion in Ladies’ Figure Skating in 1913, 1915, 1917 and 1919. She took part in three World Championships, always finishing among the medalists, with a silver in 1922, second only to Herma Szabó, and bronze in 1913 and 1923. At the 1920 Olympics she trailed her club mate Magda Julin by just 0.5 points even though the Swedish judge had placed her first. Svea Norén was the only woman from before the war to re-appear when the Olympics and World Championships resumed. She was entered for the first Winter Olympics in 1924 but did not start.
