Marek Galiński was a nine-time Polish champion in mountain bike cross-country, winning in 2000 and 2004-11. He competed at four Olympic Games for Poland in mountain biking (1996-2008). He raced through 2013 for several different teams, starting with Lotto and ending up from 2009-13 with JPG2. After his retirement he started coaching the Russian national mountain bike team. Sadly, after returning from a training camp on Cyprus, Galiński was killed in a car crash while driving home from the Krakow airport.
