David L. MAGGARD

Dave Maggard competed for Cal Berkeley and the Santa Clara Valley Youth Village. He was fourth at the 1962 NCAA shot put and at the AAU shot put, finished second in 1965 and 1968, third in 1967, and also placed in the top six in 1962-63 and 1967. He later returned to Cal as athletic director, but eventually took a similar position at the University of Miami and the University of Houston.

Personal Bests: SP – 20.53 (67-4¼) (1968); DT – 51.74 (169-9) (1964).
